Do I need to vaccinate newborns?

The issue of vaccination has now become the most relevant among society. A few decades ago, this topic practically did not bother anyone. However, now you can find many contradictions and various opinions. Experienced experts also strongly diverge in their positions about the issue of vaccination to newborns. There are both opponents of this procedure and those who adhere to its commission. Today it becomes very difficult to determine unequivocally whether it is worth doing vaccination with newborn or not. However, when solving this problem, you should still seek reliable sources of information and read some recommendations. We will try to gradually figure it out further.

Vaccination

Arguments for vaccination

In the modern world, in particular civilized countries, you can find some serious forms of diseases much less often. Most doctors claim that this is due to high -quality vaccination. Vaccinations of newborns, made on time, let not quite eliminate diseases, but are able to facilitate their course.

The body of the child who has recently been born is very susceptible to various kinds of viruses, and for this reason the vaccine created against a particular disease is able to protect the newborn. The purpose of vaccination is to ensure the protection of the human body from infection.

At the time when vaccination occurs, a small amount of infection enters the body of the newborn. So at the time of this threat to any disease, the child’s body will already be prepared for such an attack by viruses and will have some protection. Thus, the virus will not be able to progress in its usual form. Its development either stops altogether, or passes in a mild and short form. With consent to newborn vaccinations, parents thereby prevent the development of any serious illness in the child.

Many adults do not give their consent to the vaccination of newborns for the reason that they are not sufficiently aware of the possible consequences that can occur in the body due to vaccination. In fact, the child’s body in this case will experience all the symptoms that can give the disease from which it is protected. However, it is worth noting that the symptoms can be manifested only in a mild form. After vaccination, the child usually experiences:

  • lethargy;
  • loss of appetite;
  • temperature rise;
  • nausea;
  • sometimes vomiting.

These symptoms indicate the active production of the body's immunity for a certain disease.

Arguments against vaccination

Many experts are also convinced that the consequences for a newborn can acquire more severe forms. The arguments for refusing vaccination may be in this case as follows:

  • individual intolerance and strong allergic reactions to the components of the vaccine;
  • the content of modern vaccines contains most often very harmful and dangerous substances for the body;
  • according to some experts, most of the proposed vaccines do not at all protect the body of the newborn from the ability to get sick;
  • for newborns, vaccinations can be dangerous for the reason that the risk of possible complications exceeds the risk level of the disease itself. In particular, this can be said about hepatitis vaccination;
  • the newborn vaccination calendar usually consists of ten vaccinations, which should be made after his birth. Nine vaccinations should be done immediately after birth, and for this reason the level of adaptation of the child after vaccination is usually one and a half years.

Vaccinations in the hospital

The most serious vaccinations that are placed immediately after the birth of a child are:

  • hepatitis B vaccination;
  • vaccination from tuberculosis (BCG).

These vaccinations should be treated in a greater degree of responsibility, since the consequences that can come after them are severe, and the fragile organism of the newborn can react differently to them.

According to doctors, the first vaccination should be carried out only a month after the birth of a child. During this time, you can slightly study the child’s body and prevent undesirable consequences after vaccinations.
